Cam Young 14 Race Numbers

This project, designed for driver Cam Young, put a modern, high-tech spin on the Hooligan Hurricane sprint car. The design quickly evolved from a simple blue and silver idea into a highly dynamic concept featuring a high-contrast blue and orange color scheme. The resulting graphics showcase an aggressive glitch and triangle pattern, giving the #14 a modern, almost digital identity that is guaranteed to stand out against the competition.

The graphic package was engineered for maximum visibility across the car's unique winged structure. Beyond the primary door numbers, the package included four additional #14 numbers strategically placed on the top of the wing, both wing sides, the car's front, and the back panel. This ensures the number is legible from every angle—from the spotter's stand to any camera angle. To complete the aesthetic, the design featured a full custom wrap for the front hood cone to carry the glitch pattern across the nose, along with the professional integration of numerous sponsor decals to ensure all necessary branding was clearly visible and integrated into the overall scheme.

Like all my work for the track, these decals are built for the abuse of sprint car racing. Every component, including the hood cone wrap, is produced using durable, track-spec vinyl with a powerful, permanent adhesive. This high-quality engineering guarantees that the graphics can easily withstand the high speeds and rough conditions of competition, as well as the necessary wear from repeated washing and waxing. The result is a bold, unified, and professionally finished car that maintains its high-impact look for the entire racing season.
