08 TQ Midget Race Car Wrap Design

This project features the complete custom wrap design for Larry Lawson's #08 Can Am TQ Midget, one of the fastest cars in Ontario racing. Given full creative control over the aesthetic, the design journey began with the car's existing orange chassis and Larry's preference for purple. This initially led to a striking concept combining deep purples, oranges, and blacks in an aggressive, angular pattern. However, the design quickly evolved when Larry expressed interest in neon pink, inspiring a pivot towards an even more vibrant and playful scheme.

The final chosen design is an explosion of dynamic color. It perfectly blends electric neon pink and brilliant orange with bold accents of blue and crisp white, all grounded by a sleek black base. The graphic pattern itself is a highly energetic, broken-shard motif that conveys intense speed and motion, ensuring the #08 car will be an unmissable blur on the track. A custom #08 number was created with a multi-layered, shadowed effect to jump off the black wing, perfectly matching the wrap's vibrant palette.

This design is specifically tailored for the high demands of TQ Midget racing. Each element, from the intricate color blending to the bold number, is designed for maximum visibility at extreme speeds. While this project is a design concept, the intention for such a wrap is to utilize premium, track-spec vinyl with a powerful, permanent adhesive, guaranteeing the graphics would withstand the immense forces and conditions of Ontario's fastest racing circuit, maintaining its dazzling, high-impact appearance throughout the season.
